Cloud Computing these days have received much hype due to promotional campaigns by big brands and wide adoption by consumers. Due to the cost of pay and continual mobility in day to day work, people prefer to store music, documents and movie files on the cloud rather than on their desktop. Moreover, the devices they can carry with them has limited storage capability to meet their minimal demand. This has propelled the requirement of storage on cloud to a great extent and the trend continues.
Cloud vendors adopt two prompt methods to control or regulate the access to the stored files. Firstly they provide a GUI access through thin clients available natively on consumer devices. Secondly each cloud vendor provides a generic API for programs to access the stored files. The cloud architecture itself enforces role-based access control to the digital assets stored inside the cloud.
However, the leakage persists to the very nature of cloud architecture and the demand for requisite measures continues to come from the experts. The recent crisis at different cloud infrastructures have pointed to the need for greater effort to implement adequate schemes and to visit the architecture itself to weed out the issues discovered.
